ADM WASHSTATION
ADM has designed the ADM Washstation especially for the many people who :-
1. Can’t access their own bathroom
2. Can’t face the disruption of the building work involved in providing additional facilities
3. Can’t afford the cost
4. Can’t wait for a Disabled Facilities Grant to be made available
5. Might only be recovering after an operation or accident and not need extra facilities in the long term
The ADM Washstation can be positioned in any room and generates safe, thermostatically controlled hot water and cold water literally on tap 24hrs a day. There is no need for plumbers or joiners or electricians and there is no disturbance during commissioning – simply fill the two tanks with cold water and plug in. For the individual who just wants to be able to wash themself, wash their hair or clean their teeth whenever it suits them, then this is the product.
The ADM Washstation features:-
Equipment
1. Fully recessed vanity basin fitted with ¼ turn taps
2. Press button shower head on a flexible hose
3. Warning lights inform when supply tanks need topping up, when they are full and also when the waste tank needs emptying
4. Towel rail that can also be used as a push handle
5. The whole unit is mounted on swivel castors for ease of moving around
6. Flexible hose for the discharge of the waste water to a convenient disposal point
Technical
1. Two storage tanks (15litres each – enough for at least one day) for the water supply. The hot water is heated by a 1kwimmersion heater with thermostat and safety cut-out. Both tanks are well insulated.
2. Hot water temperature is controlled through a thermostatic TMV3 valve
3. Waste water is collected in an integral tank fitted with its own discharge pump
4. Automatic electronic controls switch off the immersion heater when water level in the tank is low and also the supply pumps when the waste tank needs emptying (to avoid overfilling)
